Should I keep the stuff on the main page shorter? (and force people to click to read the full post)

I'd prefer them shorter because I don't always use the "newest comments" feature on the right...I like to scroll down to each story where it says "X new comments" and go from there.

I'm not crazy...oh, wait, nevermind.
