A quote to remember

Thus is the contradictions of Conservative Ideologies (?) Or any political ideology perhaps? Stick to it until it doesn't work, then scrap and add new one, or in this case, go back to what didn't work in the past, becuase you have no better ideas? Or just unwilling to admit the ideology when applied is full of unaccounted-for complications and really doesn't work that well with over-simplistic fundamentalist adherence? My mind is boggled, and cynicism towards politics in general is growing more and more tempting.
