Looking at the time of your post, it appears that you forgot to wait the 20 minutes before the start of April Fools' Day.

So I see that you did tack on an extra day to the trip to scope out Lethbridge. What did you think of the town overall? (or is just having tracks and Tim Hortons sufficient to make it a place that you'd like to live?)

... you mentioned placing an ad down there - are you planning another quick trip out here for job interviews, or just planning on uprooting if there seems to be enough interest on the part of employers that you're pretty confident that you'll be able to get a job in a hurry?

Overall, a very nice town. We didn't go that in depth, just drove through a couple different residential areas to get a feel for what's there. We definitely liked what we saw. The ad will be in for a week, and I'll be trying to line up a few interviews for all on one Saturday and go from there. I don't plan to move until I've got a job opportunity (offer) and accomodations lined up. If it were just me it would be one thing, but I have a wife and 2 kids to look out for too, you know!

I'm guessing that, considering its you that we're talking about, you're probably going to be driving that roundtrip rather than flying into Calgary and taking the shorter drive down there?

Time is short, so I'll probably be flying. It looks like I can get a late Friday flight out of YVR pretty cheap, and then fly back sometime late Saturday or early Sunday. Don't know for sure if I'll be renting a car or trying to borrow one.
