By using an adapted Wi-Fi router and a few wireless devices in the living room, users could control their electronics and household appliances from any room in the home with a simple gesture."
Ancient Roman Concrete Is About to Revolutionize Modern Architecture

Now, according to the article it seems they think they've uncovered the secret. Apparently what they think is the Roman process can actually be done in a much more environmentally friendly way.
